  • Thank you so much for all your readership support this summer, and please forgive this truncated holiday edition of the newsletter. In a throw-back moment, please enjoy this back to school edition, “Continuing Education” from late August of 2013. I hope to resume my regular essay in the next edition mid September.


  • September Voting Plea: Please support tai chi in your community and vote in The Daily Local News 2014 Readers Poll. Write in United Tai Chi under the “Fitness Center” category here at this link. Voting ends September 19.  


  • New Class Alerts: Christian will be teaching a Tai Chi class through Chester County Night School this fall. It is on Monday nights at 7:30pm at East Bradford Elementary School in West Chester, starting on September 29. A package of 7 classes is $72 per student. Use this link here to register through CCNS. Christian is also looking into trying some classes in West Chester in September via a shared space from another martial arts practitioner, more details TBD. (1209 Ward Avenue, Kokikai Akido School). 


  • News & Events: Jaclyn is visiting Croatia this month. Welcome back Christine H and thanks for the chat. Thanks to John C and Anna M for assisting with YMCA classes during Christian’s recuperation. Welcome back Claudia.  Ink-as-marketing tool:  thank you to some Labor Day barbecue party attendees at a friend’s house this week for asking about my “Center Is A Place” arm art and the opportunity to discuss Tai Chi.  Master Wei Lun Huang will be in the Philadelphia area once again this year in case you missed his Dragon Gym workshop in May.  He will be at the Masonic Lodge in Broomall PA starting the afternoon of Friday September 19, concluding late afternoon Sunday September 21.
